Start Em/Sit Em--Week 8
By Zach Cronrath
Start
DeMarco Murray, Dallas Cowboys
Last week against the Rams will not be repeated, but he is still a viable play. He may still be available in your league, and if so pick him up. Murray is the main back in Dallas while Felix Jones is out, and will still get carries when he comes back. Against a terrible Eagles run defense, Murray should have another good day.
Any New Orleans Saint
Obviously, some of this is a given, but they just put up 62 points against the Colts. Now they are playing the Rams. See Murray, Demarco.
Tim Tebow
know that he played terribly for almost all of the game against the Dolphins, yet he still racked up 22 points in ESPN standard scoring leagues. Detroit's D will be tougher, but if I am on the fence between two QB's, I take Tebow.
Mario Manningham
He has taken a lot of looks away from Victor Cruz since coming back, and is a key cog in the Giants' offense. Against the hapless Dolphins this week, he is a definite start.
Chris Johnson
This is a tough one for me, but Johnson has to get on track at some point, right? I think this week against the Colts is a good time to take a chance on that happening.
Sit:
Knowshon Moreno
Willis McGahee is out this week, so Moreno is the starter in Denver. Don't start him anyway. Detroit has a solid run defense, and Moreno can't run as it is. Tebow will get a lot of rushing yards, so sit Moreno.
Malcolm Floyd
The Chiefs are coming off a week where they got 6 picks. Phillip Rivers leads the league in interceptions. Floyd is the third option in a passing offense, and I see the Chargers having a lead in this game.
Ben Tate
He just came off a 100 yard week, but both he and Arian Foster won't do that again. Jacksonville's D just held the Ravens in check, so I would be leery in starting a backup running back this week.
Sidney Rice
The 'Hawks just put up 3 points...on the Browns. Now they are going up against one of the top defenses in the NFL. If you don't have to, don't start him.
Kevin Kolb
If you have options at QB, don't play him. The Cardinals are anemic on offense, and they are playing the Ravens.
